Mozambique
In July of 2023, I served on a mission trip with SEU Missions to Mozambique, a country in southern Africa. We partnered with Overland Missions in order to preach the gospel to remote villages in Mahirimbani - Homoine.
Mission Trip Overview
The villages we ministered to are full of rich, community driven culture. They are also deeply rooted with generational traditions of witchcraft and idolatry. Many have heard the name of Jesus, but do not know his story or his power. A major focus of this mission trip was door to door evangelism. The prayer of our hearts leading up to this mission trip was to see lives restored and set free by the power of the Holy Spirit. Without fail, the Lord set the captives free, healed brokenness, and saved hearts across this village.
Church Ministry
Many churches in the village preach a perverted gospel, which mixes scripture with traditional witchcraft practices. We had an opportunity to preach the true gospel in local churches and teach about the healing power that comes from the Holy Spirit alone.
